Sections Management

Sections Management allows you to view and act on the sections tree present on your website: create new sections, delete and edit them.

You can scroll the structure clicking on the section’s icon or on the section’s name, which will expand displaying the sub-sections.
The whole tree is grouped into groups. 

The standard group are the following :
  • Main Menu : Sections group related to the main website navigation. 
  • Extra Menu : Sections group usually dedicated to the functional section like "Contacts" or "Site Map" etc... .
  • User Menu : Sections Group visualized in the User Box (if the related module is active).
These groups may vary depending on your website and usually they have agreed with the developers during the installation phase. 

Types of sections 

On the left of each section there is an icon that identifies the type of the element:
SIMPLE Section
It's just a page of descriptive content.
LIST Section
It'a a page anabled to contain articles. 
SIMPLE RESERVED Section 
It's a descriptive page that has limited display to one or more user groups. Activable only if the User Area module is installed.
RESERVED LIST Section 
It's a page enabled to content articles that has limited display to one or more user groups. Activable only if the User Area module is installed.
REDIRECT Section
It's a section that doesn't generate a content page but only a link to a page specified in the Redirect URL on section profile.

Section Action

On the right of each section are present the allowable actions (Fig. 1).These actions may vary depending on the type and level of tree where is located the section. If an action is enabled for the section or sections group, will be presented with a padlock or blurred, making it non-clickable.

The allowed actions are the following:
NEW SECTION
It allows you to add a new section. Clicking on the icon related to the name of the section group you will add a first level section. Clicking on an icon realted to a section you will add a sub-section.
DELETE
It allows you to delete a section. Deleting a section automatically all the contained sub-sections will be deleted. 
MODIFY
It allows you to modify a section. 
ON 
It allows you to activate an online section. 
OFF
It allows you to block an online section. 
WEB PREVIEW
It allows you to preview a section, inside the online interface, before activate the page.
